Dear Family Caregiving Community,
The USC Family Caregiver Support Center/LACRC is committed to serving our caregiving families and communities with the utmost concern for their well-being. The University of Southern California has implemented a detailed plan to meet state and local mandated social distancing guidelines to help slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Effective immediately, all classes will be held online until the end of the semester, and all university-related events on or off campus through April 12, 2020 are being postponed or cancelled. The Center, of course, is housed at and considered a part of USC, so we must comply with this updated event policy.
We are tackling the task of temporarily converting our in-person support groups and community education classes to be held online or in telephone formats. Rest assured, we understand that many of our support services for caregivers are still very much needed (maybe even more so!) at this unsettling moment in time. Please stay tuned for more communication over the next few weeks about how we plan to adapt our programs to “Stay Calm and Carry On” to continue serving our caregivers and community.
