National Call-in Day on Health Care

National Call-in Day on Health Care

The Senate is promising to vote on the American Health Care Act (AHCA) before July 4, a bill that would cause insurance costs for older adults to rise steeply (up to 950% for some) and cut Medicaid by $800 billion. The devastating cuts to Medicaid would cause states to cut services and limit enrollment in a program that millions of older adults rely on for their health care and long-term services and supports.

This bill is an attack on older adults that the Senate wants to pass without hearings and without debate. We can’t let that happen.

Tomorrow, June 14, is a National Call-in Day to save health care. Call the Health Care Defense Hotline at 866-426-2631 NOW, and again tomorrow, and tell a Senator to vote no on the AHCA.

It is critical that you make this call, as the bill has already passed the House and the Senate is promising to fast-track it through Congress.
